"I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves the nature and a great weekend hideaway.. where you can relax and unwind your busy lives at least for a while. Professionally trained staff with better customer service and also they cook mouth watering food. Specially I like the way they prepared bbq. Rooms are clean and tidy bathrooms are nearly the size of a bedroom though. Worth visiting."

The locality of Kuda Oya is quite remote and un-spoilt and therefore a wonderful location for biking and trekking. Riverston and the Laggala reservation

Massive mountain ranges and untouched forests with rolling plains of grassland form the Laggala Reserve. Another Worlds End is also located within this reservation. Unique vegetation and wildlife abound in this region with some endemic amphibians found nowhere else, even within the rest of the country.

Knuckles Range

Knuckles Range a part of the Laggala reservation is a unique habitat and a strict natural reserve. Pygmy vegetation and to a greater extent unexplored, the Knuckles Range forms a series of folds and peaks in the Matale and Kandy districts. Lakegala, Rilagala, Vellangala are some of the peaks in the range and are fantastic trails.

This is the third Lalan Group estate bungalow we have stayed at and been impressed with, the 5 rooms (with 2 double beds) and en suite bathrooms large and opening directly onto a huge verandah (with wheelchair access) because it started life as a hospital before conversion to a plantation bungalow. From the comfort of the verandah we enjoyed the beautiful garden, and with a pair of binoculars a large variety of birds and wildlife in the trees beyond, as well as the wonderful view of the Knuckles towards Matale, and the clouds hanging in the valleys and the setting sun. Kudaoya has been very nicely renovated and the décor and furniture are really tasteful, while the elegant bathrooms are well modernized with a black and white tiled theme.

We stayed three nights in this bungalow. It is located in a very serene environment in the hill country of Sri Lanka. The bungalow consists of five spacious and clean rooms with en suite toilets which too are very spacious and clean. The long Varrandah is facing the stunning view of a mountain range. The garden and the sorrounding is well kept. There is a small swimming pool too. The garden is a bird watcher's paradise and hence remember to carry your binoculars and all camera lenses. The curtious staff makes your stay wonderful. The manager Benedict goes out of his way to attend to all your needs.Also the chef will spoil you with delicious food. All in all I would suggest this holiday bungalow for you to get lost amidst the nature of beautiful hill country of Sri Lanka. Riverston is just one and a half hours drive away if you wish to do trecking and there are a few waterfalls around too.

We left Colombo on a Friday evening and arrived at the place in about 6 hours. We used our own cars, so the last section was very difficult since the road condition wasn't that good. On arrival, we were welcomed warmly by the staff. We took the cooking items which they had provided, and the staff did a wonderful job by cooking us wonderful food. They had number of options to provide. We did a Barbecue in one night. Rooms and toilets were in good condition too. Surrounding was very beautiful and they have a very well arranged garden. Be aware of leeches anyway. We had a very good time in the pool which belonged to the villa. And we went for a small hike along the water stream near the Villa. That was very exciting too.

The bungalow, rooms & toilets are HUGE! You can really spread yourselves out. The bungalow can accommodate 22pax. We were only 8 pax. The butler Benedict & staff were very kind. The chef turned out excellent meals and even dished for us to make sure we ate well. There are 6 staff members. A min 2 nights stay is recommended to really enjoy this bungalow. Bambrakiriella is about 30min away. Plan a few hours there but be careful not to go towards the center of the falls as 28 people have lost their lives there! Even though the road close to the bungalow needs repair, a car with little clearance managed to get over the rocky road. Lalan Leisure - keep up the good work!
